Individual, Family, and Child Therapy - Specializing in Trauma in Georgia
Connect & empathize.
Have you been afraid to try therapy? Scared to open up and trust someone with your deepest fears and hurts? Completely understandable and a fear that many share. I want to take the fear out of therapy by coming along beside you, showing empathy and compassion, and hearing you.
Here’s how I can help
I incorporate different techniques and interventions to best help you on your journey. I am all about what you need and making sure that you are heard. My job is to help and not hurt. While I do specialize in trauma, I can also help with other struggles you may be experiencing, including:
Trauma
Depression
Anxiety
Grief
Removing the mask
At times we all may find ourselves wearing a mask. We only let others see what we may feel like they want to see. I can help you work through your stressors and trauma so that you can drop the mask for good and say “finally, I feel like I can breathe again.”
My Style
I incorporate what is known as a multidisciplinary approach. What this means is that I incorporate different therapeutic approaches to suit what you need. Some clients prefer just sitting and talking, while others prefer a more interactive approach, such as incorporating artistic techniques. I take the time to get to know you, what your past experiences have been and your interests and preferences, which help guide the approach that I use. I’m very person-centered, meaning that the process is all about you and what you need.
Together we will…

Healing from trauma
The Japanese have a technique called Kintsugi, which is a process of repairing a broken piece of porcelain with gold. They see the value of the piece and rather than discard the broken shards they create something that’s even stronger and more beautiful. Your scars don’t have to define you. They have helped to shape you into who you are. Sometimes you just need a little help to rediscover your worth.

Building Self-Esteem
Do you miss finding joy in your life? Do you feel like it’s a struggle to find happiness in both the little and big things? Do you feel disconnected from everything and everyone? Together we will work through these issues to help you see the beauty in yourself and rediscover the joy that felt so far away.

Helping Families Connect
Do you feel like you can’t connect with your children? Is there constant arguing and defiance at home or school? Do you feel as though you don’t know how to talk to each other? This is where family therapy can help. We will work together to help increase positive communication and family unity.

Mindfulness
Do you find it hard to focus and be present in the moment? Do concerns and fears keep you from feeling connected, not only to others, but also to yourself? Therapy can help to calm racing thoughts and really be present in the moment, enjoying your experiences and your family.
